Privacy Policy

1. Overview & Commitment

This Privacy Policy applies to the Radio Gurbani mobile application (Package ID: com.radio.gurbani) and associated online services operated by the Radio Gurbani Team ("we", "us", or "our").

Radio Gurbani is dedicated to providing Sikh Sangat worldwide with free, accessible, and seamless spiritual resources—including 24x7 live Kirtan broadcasts from Sri Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple), daily Hukamnama Sahib, complete Sundar Gutka Paath recitations, and the Nanakshahi calendar. We deeply value your trust and are committed to protecting your privacy.

2. Information Collection and Use

Radio Gurbani does not require you to create an account, register, or provide any personally identifiable information (PII) to use the app.

• No User Account or Login Required: You can read Gutka Sahib banis, listen to Nitnem, stream live Gurbani, and view daily Hukamnama completely anonymously without sign-up.
• No Financial Data: We do not ask for or collect credit card, debit card, bank account, or other payment instrument details.
• No Precise Location Tracking: The application does NOT track, collect, or store your GPS or fine real-time location.
• Device & Diagnostic Information: To guarantee high-quality streaming and fix technical glitches, standard non-personal telemetry (such as device manufacturer, operating system version, app version, and crash logs) may be processed anonymously.

3. Android Device Permissions & Legitimate Use

To deliver an authentic audio and devotional experience, Radio Gurbani requests only the minimum necessary system permissions:

4. Third-Party Services & SDKs

The application may interface with trusted third-party technology providers strictly to fulfill operational and media functionality:

• Google Play Services: Core infrastructure for app distribution, updates, and integrity checks (Google Privacy Policy).
• Google Cast Framework: Enables casting Gurbani audio to smart home speakers, TVs, and Google Cast-enabled devices.
• Verified Streaming Servers: Fetches live audio feeds from authenticated Gurbani radio relays (e.g., SGPC official feeds).

We do not sell, rent, monetize, or trade any user information to third-party data brokers or marketing agencies.

5. Children's Privacy (COPPA & Google Families Compliance)

Radio Gurbani is designed for general spiritual audiences and families. We do not knowingly collect, request, or store any personal data from children under the age of 13. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal information without parental consent, please contact us at support@radiogurbani.com, and we will promptly delete any such data.

6. Data Retention and Deletion Requests

Because Radio Gurbani does not operate accounts or maintain personal user profiles, we do not store personal databases of our users. Any local app preferences (such as favorite banis, theme selection, or font size) are stored strictly locally on your device storage via secure local preferences.

If you wish to clear all locally stored data, you may do so instantly by clearing app data in your Android/iOS system settings or by uninstalling the application. For any inquiries or requests regarding data deletion, you may email us directly at support@radiogurbani.com.

7. Policy Updates

We may occasionally update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in regulatory standards, Google Play policies, or app functionality. Any modifications will be posted directly on this page with an updated "Last Updated" timestamp. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
